Say I wanted to illustrate a novel. Can I make two images like:

1. Sara starts the race

2. Sara receives an award

And make sure that it's the same Sara in both images?

Not currently. Likely someone would need to try training a new model with the goal of producing consistent characters. Probably would need to first develop a training set with sets of characters so that the missing one could be filled in.

this guy's demonstration (HN discussion [0]) does something that you could use as a template: [1]

basically, first create a Sara character and the scenes separately, then crop+paste Sara onto the background and play around with new prompts and low strength values to merge the images without changing Sara too much
