There is no reason to believe that this article is spreading misinformation about Kiwi Farms. Have a look at the Kiwi Farms wikipedia page.
I didn't even knew about Kiwi Farms until today. You might be totally right about the article. Only wanted to point out that the journalist lately been known to happily present altered evidence. I will checkout the Wikipedia entry, though
The Wikipedia articles for both them and Cloudflare are being edited by people publicly campaigning for the site to be taken down. There are massive conflicts of interest there.
Doing on-line investigation is ok, but actively chasing her irl like what is described in the article is not ok. If she did anything illegal let the authorities take care of it.
None of the in-person stuff appears directly linked to Kiwi Farms. I hope they catch the perpetrators and hold them responsible.
I would also point out that Keffals is actively fundraising off this publicity, to the tune of $100,000 dollars so far. Many other big streamers have been SWATed or harassed. It is a normal part of streaming for many, unfortunately. No other streamers I follow post play-by-play updates of the harassment, as it just feeds the trolls and encourages more. Keffals stands alone in this regard. The moral hazard of the crowdfunding and publicity has me skeptical, especially in light of Keffals’ other activities.

The ‘body count’ talking point is questionable. The three deaths of which I am aware are people who all had severe preexisting mental health issues and made very bad decisions online (defrauding others, sending death threats, being horrible to other people). Kiwi Farms documented these behaviors, which these people didn’t like. Talking about someone’s bad behavior is not illegal and should not be prohibited. I don’t condone things like mass-flagging someone’s Facebook page or other forms of actual online harassment. Such actions are in any case against Kiwi Farms site rules.
And if this is your standard, what of Twitter? What of Facebook? They have body counts too, much higher than Kiwi Farms’. Former North Carolina professor Mike Adams shot himself after his firing for a racially insensitive tweet, or in the language of KF’s Wikipedia page, “was driven to suicide after endless harassment and trolls’ use of rumors got him fired.” Game developer Alec Holowka committed suicide after accusations of sexism on social media. Academic Peter Newborn took his own life after accusations of anti-Semitism were followed by a Twitter pile-on (Newborn was Jewish). These deaths are tragic but ultimately not Twitter’s fault. Twitter users in these cases likely didn’t even break the Terms of Service, which are far more restrictive on Twitter than on Kiwi Farms’.
Sites like Kiwi Farms and large parts of Twitter are essentially tabloids for niche Internet microcelebrities. Like tabloids, they often seem grossly intrusive into people’s personal lives. They also occasionally do societally-valuable muckraking. Either way they’re not illegal, and the best solution for their targets is to ignore them and not give them any attention. Investigating, documenting, and talking about someone online is not harassment. Actual harassment should be addressed through legal and platform-specific means.
This is literally just a lie that people spread to defame Kiwi Farms.
Byuu/Near tried to extort Null to delete his (10 page long, years-dead) thread, offering him $100,000 if he deleted it (accepting this would have been a crime if it was a genuine offer, btw) and saying he would kill himself if it stayed up. He almost certainly faked his death, given he didn't show up on the census of deaths that happened in Japan during that time period, and the only "evidence" is an urn with his name on it that his former urn tweeted out.
Julie Terryberry was pressured into porn by her (much older) boyfriend, and threatened to kill herself if he left her. After he left her, she killed herself. Her boyfriend then blamed Kiwi Farms.
Chloe Segal was evicted by her roommates, and then gave a speech about homelessness and mental health care and set herself on fire.
There's another person that I don't remember the name of, but her partner specifically blamed Trans Lifeline and said NOT to blame Kiwi Farms, after Greta Gustava (a former boardmember of Trans Lifeline) blamed the death on them.

You didn’t though. It is obvious you have an attitude towards the access of underage children to cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers that differs from that of evidence-based medicine, such as that practiced in Sweden or the UK where such access has been severely curtailed.
