No, you read this article. Reading is a non destructive act.

Consuming is also not always destroying things, like in eating, it merely changes food into fertilizer and minerals when you poop.

I think naming things in an absolute way will not help us, just like forbidding things wont, we have to learn to change behavior instead of stopping behavior.
