I don't think an entire forum should be judged by the actions of one user (after which the post and user were banned within minutes). The platform has been around for a long time, and I'm honestly surprised the actions of one user are somehow representative of all users.
Actions of individuals are representative of and inherent to a website/movement/ideology when it is useful, and at most incidentally connected otherwise.

It's the same reason the media always mentions the Charlottesville rally killing in the same breath as the alt-right, but never connects the Waukesha Christmas parade killings to BLM.
