Now that looks sweet.

A walkthrough of a pre-production model seems to be available at https://storage.net-fs.com/hosting/5766346/47/ .

Living in Switzerland, these are very attractive, and I really hope they help night trains become a completely viable alternative to medium-length trips.

(Last time I checked they were so-so in terms of price for let's say Zurich<->Hamburg. Quite expensive even for a shared couchette, only becomes comparable in price to a cheap flight when you buy a seat only.)

They are very attractive if you compare the price with flight + hotel room. Usually when I go to conferences, I need to fly on the day before.

With night trains, I can sleep on the train and arrive in the morning, with enough time to get a good breakfast. Of course, a little less well rested, but the time savings is nice.

Ah yes, that comparison makes sense.

For me, the alternative is staying with family, so it's less clear-cut.

I like the layouts on the photos, it has the same kind of appeal as the interior of many small boats. Every bit of space used twice, to create a room that's bigger than the space allows.
I will take it from Munich to Venice, but I must say that I have a better time in sleeper trains in India and China than in Europe, why I find them more comfortable there? My last OBB nightjet Vienna-Berlin was very uncomfortable.
I got practically no sleep on mine since they just had me in a standard cabin (like in Harry Potter). Bench seats are just not for sleeping on. It would be much better off with airline or Amtrak style seats.
Yes indeed, Amtrak seats are more adequate for a night train.
The best one I have use was Istanbul-Thessaloniki (Turkish one was new, clean & spacious; Greek one seem to be an old french train but both were for 2 persons). Istanbul-Ankara train was nice as well.

Vienna-Milan from trenitalia was ok. Vienna-Cologne was good but it was so expensive, i just got inclined seat.

Hope these trains will make a better come back.

I hope so too. The Asian train hospitality will never be beaten by OBB (I am in neutral grounds, so I dare saying I am being objective), and same with the comfort feeling of the "mattress". Interestingly, Turkish Airlines has IMHO the best food for tourist class.
Funny fact: there is a nightjet from Innsbruck to Amsterdam. It has the designation NJ420.
As Austrian living in Dresden I've always used the previous Vienna-Berlin Nightjet until it was cancelled. It reopened again since, but the new generation will not be used on this classic route through Prague. It was always a roller-coaster ride. But even the day Railjets have been extremely unstable.
