Canada's economy is still in the ICU on a ventilator at this point. Here in Waterloo, the startup scene is a fraction of it's 2019 form still.

Canadas whole economy is basically government spending anyway. Companies are centered on rent seeking, either from government or from one of our established oligopolies (banks, telco) that effectively have taxation power. That's why we don't have any successful companies, despite what we claim to invest in innovation. Everything is optimized to take government money, not to produce anything.
