Ask HN: How long did Stable Diffusion take to run on your home setup?

I ran text to image stable diffusion on a 2020 13" M1, it took 90 mins to return a single 512x512 image with the default parameters. It would be interesting to know run times that others have experienced.

90 minutes sounds like it’s running on the cpu instead of the gpu. Lates something closer to 90 seconds on my m1 ultra.

Thanks, I used a different repo now and it runs in 2 minutes.

On my gaming desktop I need ~8s with my RTX3080 card. As I quite regularly run out of vram I rented myself a VM with a dedicated RTX3090 on Genesis Cloud which does the same in ~5s. I can usually do 3x 512x512 in a single batch with the 24G of vram.

mine is a 2020 16" i9 , I use a intel CPU optimised implementation using openvino. it takes about 4-5 minutes for 32 iterations.
