Definitely correlated with the stronger Northern Lights this summer.
I wonder if this could be somehow tied to global warming. Maybe the Jetstream weakening or ocean currents changing. Or is it just a fluke?
Hurricanes are how the planet transfers excess heat from the equatorial Atlantic to the cooler northern latitudes.

The heat has to go somewhere. If we aren’t getting tropical cyclones in the northern hemisphere…is shit about to go crazy in the Southern Hemisphere?

Seems that if there are no hurricanes the heat stays in the ocean:

Possibly this means the hurricane season might shift to be later than normal since the ocean will remain warmer? The heat goes into the atmosphere so if the oceans stay warm and the atmosphere cools due to the change of seasons it seems likely there will be a greater temperature differential, which might mean stronger hurricanes. Or the heat just stays in the ocean and does what heat does in the ocean (higher tides since the water swells some? More environmental problems for life in the ocean?)

We’re in the third year of La Niña: cool ocean temperatures in the pacific: https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/e...

The oceans are heated by underwater volcanoes and the sun. The sun has been slightly less active than usual this Solar cycle. We don’t measure most of the underwater volcanos’ output.

Probably going to be a cold winter in the northern hemisphere.

Pure conjecture with no basis other than some loosely associated facts my brain associates and recalls at this moment:

The heat that would otherwise be absorbed by the oceans is being absorbed by earth itself now resulting in magma heating up and liquifying. There is not a small chance that because of the weakening magnetic field on earth, combined with the current high activity on the sun that this is resulting in a cooking of the earth resulting in earths core heating up. Another hint at this occurring is that earth keeps breaking rotational speed records with a new record being set multiple times this year with the most recent just a few days ago. Also see the magnetic poles shifting more rapidly recently. My bet is we start seeing more volcanos pop off soon. There was nearly an 8.0 earthquake just yesterday.
