Clearly not perfect

AI simply can not create information that does not already exist. The best it can do in this situation is to create something that looks kinda plausible to human interpretation. But any correlation to reality is highly suspect.

In other words, AI might generate some 3D representation from a single photo that you can fly into --- but there is no guarantee that this AI generated 3D world is a good match for the real world environment that the photo was taken from.

Lots of guess work and fantasy here but no real magic.

So, fly into the continuation of the photo which AI imagines for you.

Pretty nice, and can be entertaining.

Also, this further dissolves the border between a "photo document" that directly represent reality, and "computer-generated graphics" which is entirely fictional.

How soon will courts stop admitting digital photos and footage as evidence?

Ah! So this is how the photo analyzer in Blade Runner was able to turn a corner from a still photo... It was extrapolating the surrounding environment and filling in the details!

Enhance! STOP!
