The past three years of Covid was kinda like an equity experiment in education: many families lost access to tutoring schools, schools lowered their requirement on the taught content, tests are more lenient. And then results? Families with resources didn't get affected at all. As a result, the gap in education enlarged. If the US adopted the equity policies like SFUSD, I'm afraid that the families who struggled with social economics will lose out more, instead of gaining.
