Automating Tests for AutoCAD based development

1 points by Ramsharan ↗ HN
Our company develops an add-on product for autocad, catering to a specific engineering vertical. We were testing the product manually so far. Now based on the market needs, the development picked up momentum , and hence new codes are written daily by a team of developers. We find manual testing of the software very time consuming. The off the shelf regression testing software don’t support CAD OPERATIONS( pick points, zoom etc). Looking for some advice/ suggestion, other than writing our own testing framework. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Will mocking be a good enough option? For example, Moto (http://docs.getmoto.org/en/latest/) mocks most of AWS infrastructure.
I will check, if they provide ways to support CAD . Thank you.
Moto doesn't support CAD (sorry if I misunderstood your comment). But you could write your own mocks along those lines.
