Ask HN: Should billionaires exist?

Billionaires are a sign that the space between the richest and the poorest is too big. They have more money than they ever use.

1000 million? Maybe eventually but probably not yet. The real answer is some wealth inequality metric though not some count

There would be no megacorps without billionaires.

Should people too strong exist?

Or too smart?

Or too resourceful?

Billionaires are merely an emergent form of notoriety.

If these did not exist, the lives of others would not be uplifted one bit. The opposite may actually be true.

Would everyone else suddenly receive a dividend through redistribution? Would everyone else learn a smidgen more financial resourcefulness?

Despise others not for what you covet for yourself, as that is hypocrisy!
