I've used a lot of tooltip/onboarding products in the past leveraging 3rd party components and have always been underwhelmed - things wouldn't load, show up for the wrong users, or mount on the wrong UI element. Eventually we ended up just building some of these experiences in-house but there were major limitations when it came to targeting and the ability to customize the experience.
The idea of using your own component library to build personalized experiences + targeting logic seems compelling and a novel combination! Congrats on the launch - excited to check this out.
We had to build this in house at my last two companies and it was such a pain in the a*s. Especially since usually we wanted to test out a couple different onboarding experiences to see which one performed better, and have a few variations depending on the user.
User onboarding at my previous company was a nightmare - and the last thing I wanted ENG resources to focus on. Excited to see what the Dopt team can do.
