This is a very good overview on the psychedelic research currently taking place. What really caught my attention was the last section in the article that suggests that a woman suffering from incurable leukemia may have gone into remission as a result of a psilocybin session that was intended to help ease anxiety related to dying. It's just one anecdote, but it raises intriguing possibilities.
