Don't follow things Karp writes very often, but I agree with this one - next couple of years is going to have some bloodletting for sure. Time to buckle up, imo, there will be no soft landing this time.
What a nice thing to say on TV -- not! I actually think it's true, some companies won't make it... but a statement like this one can be off-putting to people, so they will dismiss it as a crackpot crying wolf, to their misfortune.
"Solid companies" ... Palanir stock is down ~60% for the year. lolz
In his defense, the last time I checked 50% of their revenue is from the US government which probably isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Compare that to something like Apple which depends on selling buttloads of complicated devices that are made in China by easily affordable labor, which get shipped by ginormous boats burning cheap fuel, across a entire ocean without anyone getting in the way, all to a customer base that needs plenty of disposable income. Also, that device is only so complicated because they use cheap debt to invest into developing it further.

I'm not saying that all of those things are minutes from 100% imploding all at once, but there's surely more failure points there than "we put stuff in a db for the gov and they give us money" hahaha

EDIT:

That said Palantir still isn't profitable

"The giant" ? The US is a Godzilla compared to Russia in almost every measurable context (besides land mass)
Quit naming your companies after objects in lord of the rings books.
