Windows 11 only currently
Yep. I have a corporatised Win 10 install so shame about that.
Yeah, seems like all the new WSL stuff is Windows 11 only; I guess Microsoft views it as an incentive to switch.
Have they got IPv6 (or at least ethernet bridging, so at least it would work if you are hardwired and not on WiFi) working yet? That's why I'm still on WSL1.
Oh, lucky me I get to use snap now.
I mean it's windows, the home of bloatware, it goes in line with their vision with WSL

It's a missed opportunity to come up with something lighter and more sane.. too bad

They hired the systemd dev, so i guess it's in their plan

Who ? Poettering?
Yes
This might be good for ALL involved. Especially the Linux community without his oversized influence he enjoyed over the years.
I don't think it'll be good, everything they built so far is a slow and bloated piece of poop, however, will it be interesting? probably yes
I was using WSL for awhile and some things weren't quite right. So I figured out a way to unleash the full power of Ubuntu:

I installed Ubuntu and stopped using Windows.

The must be annoying for you to easily try out the feature discussed in this post.
How long until Microsoft acquires Canonical?
