We’ve got really loose penalties in Au. Aus regulation on data protection is quite lax compared to US/EU. If a major telco had this issue in the states, the fine would be well in excess of hundreds of millions - but in au, paying for license renewals of confirmed cases is a slap on the wrist in comparison
