Tell HN: Dupe detection is broken for federialregister.gov
(Sorry dang, not sure if you're awake yet!)
It's impossible to submit links such as https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2022/08/22/2022-17752/trade-regulation-rule-on-commercial-surveillance-and-data-security because the FTC has a blocker that breaks HN's dupe detection. I'd like to start a discussion around this particular issue, which I think is very relevant to the community here, but there's no way to submit the link without it being [dupe]'d.

[ 3.2 ms ] story [ 16.1 ms ] threadClicking it isn't a great experience: I had to do a captcha, after which it told me that my IP would probably be unblocked after a minute or two.
It might be better to link to a blog with excerpts of the rule.
