I am a lead software engineer with over 20 years of experience in many different industries. Most recently I was the first then primary engineer leading a startup to a successful exit. I am a polyglot with experience in several languages - I am an expert in a language I would like to move away from. Most recently I have been focused on TS/JS but with the opportunity I can become proficient in any language and would love to expand my experience. I am especially interested in typed and/or functional languages. I am most interested in backend positions, but I am experienced in frontend and devops. I may be interested in data science positions - I have a strong SQL and relational DB background. I enjoy being the bridge between business and product, understanding the problem and working together to find a solution. I have a more written about my background and outlook in my resume.

In my current role I have a wide range of responsibilities and not as much focus. I would prefer to join a well established team where I can contribute deeply and be truly productive. Looking for stability, good work life balance, and a remote first team. I'm looking for a problem worth solving that I can sink my teeth into and make a difference.

  Location: Puebla, México.
  Remote: Yes.
Willing to relocate: No, but if your company happen to have an office in CDMX, I may be able to travel back and forth occasionally.
  Technologies:
    - Haskell [Advanced], Rust [Advanced]. Love Haskell.
    - Ocaml [Basic], Clojure [Basic], Scala [Basic], Erlang [Basic]. Functional programing and that stuff.
    - Git, Neovim, Unix [Linux, macOS], Nix [very basic, still learning].
    - Github, Gitlab.
    - Agda, Lean. But I'm also learning Coq. Not an expert, but I try to do my proofs.
    - C (but not C++), Python, Flutter.
    - I also know Java, but I'm not proud of that. I wrote a parser combinator a while ago just for fun (but with Java verbosity it's a mess).

Hi! I'm a Software Engineer/Computer Scientist higly interested in Functional Programming, especially with Haskell. But I can also work with Rust.

I can learn new things pretty quickly and usually without any help, just making my way through the documentation. And I also love problem-solving, so I really try to get things working every time. But I'm also always working to improve my skills to become better in what I do.

While I would really like to work with compilers, types and a lot of formal stuff, I'm always open to other areas of development (i.e. Haskell's servant or distributed-process).

I'm currently a Computer Science undergraduate student at Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. I'm finishing my bachelors in Summer 2023 (I managed to reduce by one year my degree, while having a good GPA [95.7/100]). But I also have a lot of free time, so this shouldn't be much of an issue. I promise to be careful.

I would love to be in your team building exciting things! So get in contact with me if you are interested or want to talk more about it.

Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you are having a good day!

I'm a problem solver. I learn quickly and use whatever tech is necessary.

Finished my PhD in CS by the end of 2021.

Worked on software which is used by the Federal Police of Brazil to manage 95% of their police inquiries.

Passionate about computers since I was a kid. Studying and working in CS full time since 2009.

I enjoy producing high quality and high value software that follows best practices (e.g. CI/CD, Clean code, Testing, SCM, Reviews, Joel Test, ... )

So that you can hire me confidently for a remote position, I am open to chats, technical interviews, algorithm challenges, take-home coding exercises, trial periods, etc. Whatever it takes to ensure this is a good fit for both of us.

I’m a software engineer with experience developing serverless, resilient, and efficient cloud applications. I recently built Seymour (https://seymour-active-monitoring.github.io/), an open-source active monitoring solution for testing API endpoints that is deployed to AWS. Prior to this I founded and grew businesses in the foodservice space, one of which was a franchise across 14 states.

I love learning and have a diverse background in a lot of other little things as well so let me know what you want to do and I would be happy to jump in!

I have just under 3 years of professional experience, mostly in low-level C with some shell scripting and a little bit of Go. Looking for a fully remote position. Occasional travel would be fine. Have had a few false starts in my job search including making it into the final round with a FAANG and would like to start at a new job soon.

I'd prefer to do something other than C development for my next job. Go is at the top of my list but I'm also open to working in other tech stacks. I'm currently working on a dungeon crawler game in Go and have been experimenting with a React frontend for it. I'm planning on uploading it to GitHub and open sourcing it once it is complete. I view myself as a generalist and am looking for a job opportunity where I can learn and grow as a developer while delivering value to the company.

I'm a software engineer with a passion for creative problem solving and well-crafted solutions. Experience building distributed full-stack web applications with an emphasis on user experience. I most recently built Tailslide, an open-source feature flag framework with automated failure protection for easier code deployment (https://tailslide-io.github.io). Significant experience working on teams cross-functionally and remotely.

Looking for a full-stack role remote in the US or in-office in Chicago, open to back/front end focus. I'm able to ramp up quickly on new technologies.

Hi there. I'm Dave, a Java guy with crazy amounts of experience. Those "senior" roles asking for 2 to 3 years experience? Ha, I sneer at them. Try 20+ years Java experience with exposure to heaps of related tech. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty building library code, writing CloudFormation templates, making the test suite run faster, and documenting the hell out of everything.

I'm mainly looking for some kind of very hands-on staff engineer role with a larger org, or a real chance to steer the technical and social culture at an early stage startup. I can talk and write and I don't suck at either. I love to wave my hands around in front of a whiteboard (or these days Miro) while sketching out the directions our architecture will take.

If I sound like your kind of guy then there's a big heap of detail over in my LinkedIn and I would love to chat to you via the medium¹ of your choice - including in-person fika² if you're in Stockholm or thereabouts.

¹ I hear the medium is the message.

² Apparently the message is: Kannelbullar!
