Show HN: A macOS app to search for CLI commands quickly (askcommand.com) 11 points by trungdq88 3y ago ↗ HN
[–] trungdq88 3y ago ↗ I built this app to help me save ~15 seconds every time I have to go on Google to search for common commands like- Check which process is listening from a port- Open a port in ufw- Show headers in a curl request- etc.I've been using it for a week and I love it. Would love to hear your thoughts/feedback. Cheers!
[–] subeadia 3y ago ↗ As basically just a wrapper for the OpenAI API, why would I pay for this? I could do the sane thing in the OpenAI Playground.
[–] ezekg 3y ago ↗ I typically use control+R to search. If not, I use `history | grep something`. I also rarely clear my shell history.Lastly, not sure how I feel about your credit system.
[–] hambone 3y ago ↗ This is a cool app, although a CLI seems like a better interface than a macOS app, unless, of course, you plan to have a richer UI later.
