Not convinced AWS is too complex at this point. They are huge and can support a lot of options. It lets clients onboard with one or more options familiar to them. Even if there is some overlap between some offerings.
Surely good design should make the complexity manageable.

I don't want a word processor that doesn't do anything notepad can't do. I want a word processor that makes it easier to so the things I want to do.

If there's one long menu, that's bad design, the solution isn't to throw out the features though.
