Probably true. Personally. I don't really care if the other party/ies have a blue iMessage or green SMS response. Only people I've ever heard complain are a subset of Android users that, I think, it take it extremely personally but pretend they don't.
That's interesting to hear, in my slice of the population (tech zoomers) it's a much bigger deal. I know a bunch of people who have strong opinions on it and I'm in multiple group chats where people are specifically excluded because they're on android and adding them would make the chat "worse".
