Browsers that support end-to-end encrypted chats on Messenger and Facebook (facebook.com)

I can't fathom why Safari would be supported on messenger.com but not Facebook.com/messages.

I also have no idea why Private Mode would make a difference in Firefox.

Perhaps someone here might be able to shed some light?
