The first sentence of the abstract is truly bizarre. It’s like they’re apologizing in advance for insulting the sacred cow:

> Vaccination is a cornerstone in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. However, …

Reminds me of the concept of a "shit sandwich" - where you try to put bad points between two slices of positive points.
It's mandatory to get published. "Science" is unquestionable and don't suffer contradiction.

Incidentally this is exactly what a few so-called conspiracy theories (aka hypothesis in the old world) predicated a few years ago.

This isn't bizarre at all, you'll see similar things before discussing any emotionally charged topic.

People will preface an argument with "of course pedophiles are bad..." before explaining why the latest anti-encryption law is bad or "of course racism is bad" before explaining why some racial quota system is counterproductive or similar things for pollution, homelessness, drug abuse, war, etc.

It's a simple thing to help the reader understand the perspective the author is coming from, especially useful when the author knows they might otherwise be lumped into some category they want to avoid being grouped with.

The title makes it look like this was a dangerous conclusion when it states:

> The sporadic presence and trace quantities of COVID-19 vaccine mRNA detected in EBM suggest that breastfeeding after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination is safe, particularly beyond 48 hours after vaccination.

However they don't then explain at all why it is safe, nor cite any specific research relating to infants - "just believe us."

And I find it additionally disingenuous or dishonest to not state that even trace amounts of a synthetic mRNA message (that doesn't breakdown easily ass naturally mRNA does) will lead to an unknown amount of spike protein being produced.

We were told it wasn't possible for the vaccine to be present in breast milk. Why does it seem like so many of the "conspiracy theorists" keep turning out to have been right, or at least closer to the truth than the truth we were being fed?
