This is an actual life-threatening bug that should receive top priority by the team. But do they care? I wonder if they've done the math and decided it's not a bug that really affects their bottom line so much that it becomes imperative to solve.
I've suspected for a while now that not many people on the Android team (and most Android manufacturers) are not actually incentivized to care about improving existing products/fix outstanding bugs
