Ask HN: Is there common format to keep repo description in repository itself?

And other metadata like issue labels?

I know that I can define it in proprietary setting in GitHub and on GitLab, Codeberg and so on.

But I would really prefer to just run script that would setup them using API from common metadata.

As I get older I am less and less interested in fighting with changing settings.

Ideally I could change description of "needs a PR" label or tweak its colour and just run script to change it across all my standard repositories. Rather than doing it manually.
