Nice as a bit of moralizing. Plausible as an ivory-tower public policy. But the article says not a word about the political possibility nor viability, in the U.S., of Pres. Biden publicly proposing cocaine legalization.

And it's in the Economist, which tries to bill itself as real-world news for grown-ups.

So I'd assume that it's a click-bait puff piece.

Cocaine addiction develops with a horrifying efficiency. Cocaine users are much more prone to violence than marijuana users. This is a bad idea.
