Ask HN: Best Open Source Microblog?
Life has been moving to fast lately and I want to slow down an captute the beauty of the world be it poem, photo or short video is there a microblog like say Tumblr that I can self host or can at least export as markdown out there? I don't care for others to see it. Want frictionless posting from mobile. Any ideas?

In fact, it might be counter-productive.
I mean right here you are doing administration instead of doing the thing you said you want to do...making content.
The best blog platform is the one you are using.
The thing that needs optimizing is the work of making and posting content.
Embrace the work, because the least amount of blog work is to not blog at all.
That's also the lowest risk.
