That's how I view it as well. As a matter of fact, it's a godsend for my home server, like the free extended security maintenance for one machine before it.
Actually my server is on an old enough version of ubuntu that it doesn't display the message. I'd like to thank whoever was bothered by it for bringing this new option to my attention.
