Ask HN: Java or PHP internship?

I am 17 years old, and was recently confronted with a choice between:

A java internship- this would entail hardcore "real" programming and would build up my algorithmic and smart way of programming. I would be given a teacher who will basically guide me and take me under his wing.

A PHP internship- this would be an internship at a company that helps startups with web design and development.

java- It will be more company oriented

php- It will be me and one other guy working in a basement.
