Ask HN: Where to Start with Text Search?

Hello! I'm currently planning out a project to ingest a large library of ebooks, index them for searching and then exposing it all in a web API. Ideally this would have some sort of contextual or semantic search.

Does anyone have recommendations for where to start or technologies to research?
