Talking to customers and building what they want is a focus to build the product in the right direction. The question is what should be the focus for traction at an early stage to double down on?
For example, in the early days companies like Digital Ocean, and Twilio have all spend their massive energy doubling down on the content they produced whereas companies like Supabase, and Spinnaker have taken a community approach.
We are at a stage where we are not yet sure what's best suited to focus on and spend our major time and energy.
All 3 are needed for huge success but if you had to start with one, I would say "Content" since in the early days, you are looking to build trust, authority and discovery. Think DigitalOcean.
Amazing time to post this. DO teardown is on my to-do list. Quick add up, any quick link you have in recommendation to deep-dive their content led growth playbook?
