Just thought this was interesting. I didn't realize Google was actively purging files for 'hate speech' like this. It's a worrying precedent, I imagine there's a lot of useful stuff on people's databases that can possibly be confused as simple 'hate speech'.
To be fair to Google (even though they don't deserve it), they're not purging the files (yet). You can still upload and download your own files even if they get the scarlet letter; you just can't share them.
It's possible this is happening - we've seen similar behavior from Google before.
But seriously.
This post is a link to a reddit post, which is a screenshot of an unconfirmed tweet. The reddit comments are entirely unhelpful ("1984"). It's the epitomy of low effort signal boosting.
