How often does serendipity or just luck factor into your job changes?
I'm curious how many people just have new jobs fall into their laps at the right time. Like you know when things are going sour or it's time to move on, and you get a call out of the blue. You're not actively looking, it just happens when it needs to.

[ 2.3 ms ] story [ 14.9 ms ] threadThe unconscious can include repressed feelings, hidden memories, habits, thoughts, desires, and reactions.
There is plenty of research to suggest that our unconscious mind acts without the knowledge of the conscious mind.
Unconscious = out of awareness.
We generally assign these unconcious decisions to fate, destiny or even serendipity.
Many of the elements that go into decision-making are processed outside of awareness.
For instance, our choice of partners and important life decisions usually begin in the unconscious even if we believe that we have consciously made those decisions.
Intuition, too, is a product of the unconscious mental processes.
Getting a new job may well be linked to the internal unconsious mind making plans and acting upon them without your prior knowledge, even when you have a sense that you have not contributed to those plans.
