This could benefit from a more complete description/title: vlc.js: VLC ported to WASM a full multimedia framework and player in the web browser.

VLC on desktop plays YouTube links. I wonder how vlc.js handles Youtube links?

Also (2020) in some ways. No commits in 2 years? Is it still alive/useable, or was it an attempt that’s just kept for historical reasons?
