Looming USB-C Makes the iPhone 14 a Trickier Upgrade Than Ever (gearpatrol.com)

I'm not sure that I get this viewpoint. Anybody in the Apple ecosystem for years probably has enough random working cables/dongles laying about to survive without buying even 1 new cable until fully wireless everything is a thing.
