I posted this because there's a bit of a tempest in a teapot going around right now in the React world about the Next 13 release, where a member of the React core team said: “Next 13 is the real React 18 release”.
I'm all for libraries over frameworks in general, but... React super sucks on its own. 99% of people don't just need a view library - they need a router, state management, scoped CSS, etc.
You should always be able to use the view library on its own - same with all those others. But even if I picked up Svelte, I'd be using Kit.
Next.js seems to have earned its place, and that's great. Next.js is React to me now.
