there is no pleasing today's Conservative Party - a rabble of factions which no longer belong under the same banner. The Right Wingers should rebrand as the English Nationalists and whatever is left try and recover some sort of credibility with small business and City. No single leader is ever going to unite this lot again
I don’t think there are many English nationalists - they left for UKIP ages ago.
What do you mean UKIP collapsed post brexit, the right wing of the party or the ERG is basically UKIP as the poster says they have been holding the party to ransom for a while. Sunak needs to purge them from the party if he is to win another election.
I mean UKIP collapsed post Brexit. Leave.eu was explicitly pro migration.
UKIP / EDL have hijacked the Conservatives, they are basically following the English Nationalist agenda
The EDL were a violent mob that wanted an English enthostate. That very clearly isn’t the conservatives who have been closer to the center than Labour has in the last decade.
Question to the uk readers: is there any way of causing an election other than (somehow) getting a no confidence vote to succeed? This, I thought, required the Cons to commit hara kiri, although things might get that stupid after the 5th or 6th new pm.

Comics are pointing out that at this rate Charles has a chance of working with more pm’s than his mother did..

Not that I am aware of. As you say, the Opposition parties can call for a vote of no confidence in the Government, but they will lose, as the Government have a majority.

Similarly, individual constituencies cannot recall their MP unless they have been found guilty of a wrongdoing that fulfils certain criteria [0]

Some British guy I know said the problem the Tories have is there aren't any more high value public assets to give away. And all the stuff they did give away has been stripped.
I don't know about that. Channel 4, Network Rail, Land Registry and half of Nat West Bank have all been mooted as a potential sale in recent years.
