some part of me is fascinated to see non-compliance with a disgracefully authoritarian demanding large national government that has ridiculous arbitrary & vengeful laws on the books, but nothing about this current situation gives me much hope.
my recall is that social media sites were required to have some kind of officers in India that could be jailed for non-compliance with the whims of the government. semi-interested to see what happens now: there used to be a staff to mete out & try to comply. will it even be possible to maintain acceptable relationships with this demanding government? will twitter try to maintain this requirement at all?
