He just wants split government, so that's why we should vote straight ticket republicans now. I'm sure he'll be supporting the Democratic candidate in 2024 to keep the balance
Something about this reminds me of how we want peace in Ukraine, so Ukraine should give Putin everything he wants.
Fake naivite is his MO these days (not saying anyone's naive for voting Republican, but rather if it's for that reason they are)

If more people would do this things would be less insane.
When we vote in Aus we vote for the House of Representatives and the Senate at the same time (though the senate terms are longer) and I've never voted the same way on both for that same reason, it's harder for them to pass crazy shit if they have to compromise with each other (that's the idea anyway, in reality both our parties love to implement authoritarian bullshit)
It must be nice not to need anything from your government.
Here in the US, we've still got a lot for the government to do. We don't yet have things like health care, or even the right to control your own body, like they have in Australia. Because of the split between House, Senate, President, and Supreme Court, there are so many checks and balances that practically nothing is ever able to get passed.
I'm pleased that your country has reached a state where all there is for your government to do is to pass "authoritarian bullshit". Our country still wants to be a third-world theocracy, and that's what Musk just told everybody to vote for.
