I think the biggest challenge is to determine what is "a post about a job opening" from "a post asking if anyone knows a job opening". I guess some neural net (BERT) could be trained to figure this out. Or maybe a more classical "bayesian filter": its just a ranking after all (likelyhood of this being a job opening).

For now, I chose the most simple solution: just check for certain hashtags. It works surprisingly well. Though it does catch some 20% "false positives": people looking for jobs, and not job openings.

I'm also surprised by the amount of cool jobs there. I guess that's mostly due to the niche of people posting on mastodon or the fediverse, though.
