StoryPrompt was spun out of the challenges I faced at Sendible (my first company) as a bootstrapped founder. For a period of 3 years, our growth stalled and I needed a way to stand out in a crowded, venture-backed space.
I decided to position us as the smaller, more approachable alternative. So, I opened up my calendar every afternoon for office hours with customers.
What I didn’t expect was that in the process of having these calls, not only was I giving the Sendible brand a face in a sea of faceless competitors, but I was collecting valuable social proof and building a community of advocates.
As a result, we doubled our revenue, were listed as one of the top 3 social media management tools on G2, and were ultimately acquired in 2021.
However, despite its effectiveness, meeting customers face-to-face every day and collecting feedback in this way just isn’t scalable for most CEOs, let alone companies.
So, I built StoryPrompt to help other businesses engage (and delight) their customers face-to-face without the need for live calls, and then share that delight with the world to grow faster.
