Worth watching for the cold open alone.
That was interesting, and the comparison in the ingeo is fun. It really goes to show how sketchy amazon has become
An after-market car horn claims to be almost twice as loud as the loudest recorded sound in human history: the eruption of Krakatoa in 1883.
Decibel scale is logarithmic so 600db is 316,227,766,016,556 times louder than 310db
It’s so silly. Why would you make a scale logarithmic. Incredibly unintuitive and pointless. All reference scales should be linear.
I think it's because human perception of sound isn't linear, so it purports to more closely match human perception rather than actual amplitude
I don't think you understand the utility and applications of log scales.
If that horn met its advertised spec it could destroy the planet. I liked that part.
So not the brown note, but like the blinding white fusion note.
The sort of marketing numbers I'd expect on AliExpress SMC 18650 batteries.

FWIW: I have a $40 "train" airhorn typically used for motorcycle and other motor vehicle applications on my standing scooter. It's purpose is to inflict the maximum pain of loud on stupid car drivers who try to murder me because they're playing FarmVille while driving and don't have a FSD Tesla or are too lazy to check their mirrors before changing lanes. (I don't know how any driver could miss an object 8' / 2.5 m high person-shaped object traveling faster than them wearing absurdly-colorful clothing unless they were trying not to be aware of their surroundings.) It's also suitable for waking pedestrians entranced by glowing screens.
