Great read. I'm not able to comment on the realism of this scenario, but it seems plausible enough.

I can totally see this happening. We haven't solved the Twin Nuclei problem (as Eric Weinstein calls it)

My understanding is that mirror sugar is very expensive, and I could see someone doing the genetic engineering required to produce it.
