Imagine twitter Spaces but with video. Twitter could unlock a whole new way of interacting on twitter.
I remember Kimdotcom hosting a very long Space on Saturday to discuss FTX bankruptcy.
Of course, this will require way more resources from twitter in bandwidth which I do not know if twitter Blue users alone can pay for it.
I would much prefer if Twitter does video, it's decoupled from the app. I didn't use Vine back in the day, I certainly never (and can't use TikTok) and I actively avoid Instagram Live/Shorts etc. And this could work because Twitter itself is attracting really bad press, but a resurrected Vine still could work (provided they are able to foot the infrastructure bill)
> I think there’s this transformative opportunity in payments. And payments really are just the exchange of information. From an information standpoint, not a huge difference between, say, just sending a direct message and sending a payment. They are basically the same thing. In principle, you can use a direct messaging stack for payments. And so that’s definitely a direction we’re going to go in, enabling people on Twitter to be able to send money anywhere in the world instantly and in real time. We just want to make it as useful as possible.
> If you can simply have one balance on Twitter that can simply go positive or a negative, and when it goes positive, the interest rate is better than what you could receive elsewhere, and when it goes negative, the interest rate is lower than what you see elsewhere, now you have a much simpler system.

That's the uninteresting part about payments though.
It's like saying "Well, writing is just putting words to page, so since I've written a dictionary and a phone catalogue, I'm qualified to write a novel".
The important part and the really difficult domain part, is all the regulations, money handling rules, everything from exchange rates to returns, and so on...

Interesting choice of direction...
