UK Software Engineers Working Remotely (For US Companies)

I've been contracting as a JS developer for about 10 years. Day rates are great but I'm intrigued by the prospect of going after permie, remote work for a US company.

Salaries seem to be high enough to make it even more lucrative than contracting but I'm a bit overwhelmed by where to start with it all having no idea about applying for this kind of work.

Most of my contracts come through recruitment agents I connect with on LinkedIn these days and the Jobs section is full of SE roles in North American paying well above $200K but I'm not sure how many of them are open to working with devs outside of the USA/Canada.

A lot of the remote work that I've been able to find that does cater to UK devs isn't quite as appealing offering salaries that are more in-line with what I'd expect from a UK tech company.

Do any of you know anyone who is operating in this sphere?
