That just seems so wrong that we're letting people get sick because they can't afford to pay £250 for heating in winter. I'm glad they are at least running a trial to see how granting people livable conditions will improve their health.
I wish my heating was £250, last time this year (the bill comes the week before christmas) it was £1300, I expect it to go up this year. This is for a fairly tiny studio flat.
Or a landlord that gives a shit about keeping his property repaired, but since he has no intention of getting rid of the black mold or the leaks in the roof, I won't hold my breath, nor will I hold it for finding any other affordable housing to rent in this area.

This winter, which is obviously when the heating is on most of the time if you're home, the monthly bill will probably get higher than that.
This is a problem for everyone and is definitely unaffordable for many people.
