Ask HK: When do you know it is time to reinvent yourself?

Is it only when you feel bored looking at the day ahead of you? When you have hit rock bottom and the only way is forward? When the "old/current" is out of touch?

Would love to hear your thoughts as I believe reinventing one self over and over can only be good. I am not always reading the signs well or I am missing them completely! Thanks lots.

I would say, as most of the times: "it depends". In terms of career, I like to think I reinvent myself constantly until I gather enough experience or capital and, arguably more important, convince myself that I can be that new me. This step is usually the visible one for the people around me, but in my mind I have already moved on by then. I doubt that just feeling bored would push me to this unless it would happen over a very long period of time.
thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree that reinvention is primarily for one-self and seeing "it" happen or feeling that it was achieved, starts with the personal acknowledgment: I am a new ME.
