The term "embodied experience" rears its ugly head in Gary's banter (arguments). I personally tend to suspect that the whole notion of "embodied cognition" is key to sentience, which, in my view, means that it cannot be simply glossed over. In a recursive sense, "what is sentience?" waltzes down the turtles staircase to "what is embodied cognition?" which, as you might expect, opens the doorway to further descent towards the "grounded turtle" - whatever that might be.
