Any File Viewer

With all the craze around Generative/Problem Solving AI, has anyone attempted to build a file viewer which can open up any file in their right format?

As in, playing an mp3 or viewing a CAD file or even opening a simple doc. Maybe a boss file viewer

What does that have to do with AI? Loads of OS UI shells have embeded preview etc.
